With Windows XP Media Center Edition 2005, you can record live TV, so you can watch all your favorite shows on your schedule. Windows XP Media Center Edition now features dual tuner support plus support for a third over-the-air local HDTV tuner, so you can watch and record up to three different shows at the same time.
Record your favorite TV shows
You can pause the show you're watching while you explore upcoming TV programs with the Electronic Program Guide. If you find something you don't want to miss, you can record it to watch later.
Highlight the show you want to record in the Program Guide, press OK on your remote and select Record from the on-screen menu. A red dot appears next to the program you’ve chosen to record and you can go back to the show you were watching. It’s that easy.
